Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Consultant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong claims handling experience, particularly in Motor and Warranty lines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Motor and Warranty claims from inception to closure, ensuring that all claims are handled efficiently and effectively within client service instructions, company guidelines and delegated authority.
Main Responsibilities
* Inbound calls and responding to general enquiries
* Managing a portfolio of Motor and Warranty claims end to end
* Complex claims and managing the full IDR process
* Interpreting policy wordings and applying accurately
* Liaising with various third-party providers
* Settling claims within client service instructions, company guidelines and delegated authority
* Attending meetings where applicable
Key Performance Indicators
* Achieving monthly KPIs as designated by management
* Complying with legislation such as the General Insurance Code of Practice and other relevant legislation / regulations and policy requirements
* Resolving complaints in accordance with company guidelines
* Identifying potential fraud/recovery indicators for claims where applicable
* Payment approval responsibilities
Requirements
* At least 5 years of Claims experience in Motor or Property claims
* Industry-specific ANZIIF qualifications (desirable)
* Focus on customer/client outcomes
* Strong negotiation skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* PC literacy – Database and Microsoft Office
* Time management and organisational skills
