We invite applications for Local Area Coordination professionals to join our team on a full-time basis in Taree - HNEC.
Full-Time Permanent opportunities (38 hours per week)
Work-from-home flexibility of 2 days per week
Starting from SCHADS 401 $88,090 per year plus Salary packaging up to $18,550 plus Super
What you'll be doing in this role
As a Local Area Coordinator, you will use your people skills, ability to multitask and adapt quickly to assist participants in linking to and navigating the NDIS.
You will guide participants in their options, help them make informed choices, gather information for their NDIS plans, and support them in achieving their goals.
Your work will include:
Supporting people with disabilities, their families and carers by providing linkage and referrals to community and mainstream services and/or services funded by the NDIA's grant programmes.
Acquiring a thorough understanding of how to best support NDIS participants through the various stages of their pathway with hands-on NDIS and Uniting training.
Undertaking other duties as requested by the Service Area Leadership Team consistent with the general nature and responsibilities of the position.

Someone with great people skills, excellent written communication and time-management skills.
Someone who has lived experience and/or experience caring for someone with a disability.
