We are looking for a Full‑Time Business Development Manager for our Tasmania Team. This exciting opportunity resides in Tasmania (Based in Launceston, Davenport or Northern Tasmania), Hybrid Role & in‑market Representation.
Qualifications
* Advanced knowledge of Stainless & Performance Steels (or related industrial products).
* Advanced Knowledge & Experience in Customer Service / Sales within industrial products.
* Advanced Knowledge & Experience of Sales, Quotation, and Sales Follow‑Up.
* Experience in Development & maintenance of assigned customers & industries.
* Experience with assigned Products – Management & Development.
* Experience in overseeing inventory requirements and sales forecasting of specific products.
* Strong organisational, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
* Competent computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* A reliable team player with a proactive attitude.
* Previous experience in sales servicing or within Industrial Wholesale, including industries related to Engineering, Fabrication, Marine, and Mining, would be advantageous but not essential.
Reporting to the Commercial & Operations Manager – Tasmania is the responsibility of the Business Development Manager.
Responsibilities
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers.
* Driving sales growth and business development within assigned industries and territories.
* Identifying new market opportunities, projects, and target accounts.
* Managing quotations, sales follow‑ups, and forecasting.
* Providing technical and product support to customers and internal teams.
* Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments.
* Supporting our national sales team in regard to specialist products and project requirements.
* A high level of customer service capability & ethic.
* Developing & growing TAS customers, identifying new target businesses, projects & customers.
* The responsibilities of the role are not limited to the ones mentioned above.
