About The Role
The Strategy and Performance division shapes and safeguards the direction, integrity and performance of South Australia's public education system. By leading system‐wide strategy and providing trusted insight and advice, we align evidence, policy and engagement to strengthen the system and solve complex challenges – enabling schools and preschools to support every child and young person to learn and thrive. The division is comprised of the following directorates and business units, Office of the Executive Director, Strategic Policy, External Relations, National Relations and Policy, Communications, International Education Services, Data Operations and Service, Assessment and Collections, Data Insights and Strategic Data Initiatives.
The Senior Business Support Officer resides within the Office of the Executive Director, providing efficient and effective business and administrative support to both the Executive Director and broader Strategy and Performance division. The role autonomously manages diverse administrative processes to maintain effective daily coordination of the directorate and divisional activities to meet relevant work priorities and outcomes. Responsibilities include budget management, relationship building across executive offices, HR processes, secretariat services and briefing processes associated with the Office of the Executive Director function, requiring excellent client and stakeholder management skills and the delivery and maintenance of efficient work practices.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil
Desirable: Tertiary qualification in relevant field e.g. Business Administration or Public Administration. Prior experience working in a similar role within the public sector or education industry.
Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years. Remuneration
ASO5 $89,007 - $98,991 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
