We're seeking passionate and positive-minded swim instructors to join our dynamic aquatics team at UniActive, UOW Wollongong. Whether you're an experienced teacher or a recent graduate, we welcome your application. In this casual role, you'll play a vital role in helping participants of all ages and abilities develop their swimming skills, boost their confidence, and feel safe and supported in the water. As a Swim School Instructor, you'll deliver engaging and supportive swim instruction using our lesson plans, cultivate a fun learning environment that reinforces safety and progress, and interact professionally with children, parents, and caregivers. Your role will also involve supporting your team and referring program enquiries to your supervisor.

Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, safe, and supportive swim instruction using provided lesson plans.
* Create a fun and inclusive learning environment that promotes safety and progress.
* Interact professionally and supportively with children, parents, and caregivers.
* Support your team and collaborate effectively with other instructors.
* Refer program enquiries and provide accurate information to participants.
* Ensure a clean and organized pool area, following health and safety protocols.
* Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to parents.
* Uphold the organization's values and promote a positive and inclusive culture.
Qualifications
* Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certification (or equivalent).
* Current CPR and First Aid certification.
* Paid Working with Children Check.
* Experience as a swim instructor or a strong passion for teaching swimming.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
* Flexibility to work across various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
* Commitment to child safety and upholding the National Child Safe Standards.
* A positive and supportive attitude towards participants of all ages and abilities.
* A passion for swimming and a desire to make a positive impact on others.
