Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

$62.94–$79.46 per hour (flat rate, based on qualifications)

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and operations of occupied buildings, common user areas, and grounds. Reporting to the Civil Maintenance Superintendent, this role is key in ensuring our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the main contact for all facility maintenance issues.
* Manage planned and reactive maintenance including cleaning, furniture, building layout changes, air-conditioning, fire services, water/sewage, and more.
* Coordinate contractors for building and site services.
* Prepare scopes of work, manage work requests, and ensure safety and statutory compliance.
* Oversee cleaning and water management contracts.
* Conduct risk assessments and prepare Job Safety Analyses.
* Maintain asset registers and inspection reports.
* Manage furniture inventory and coordinate stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary or trade qualifications in Facility Management, Civil, Building, or Construction.
* Certificate IV or Diploma in a relevant field.
* Strong project supervision and contract management skills.
* Extensive building maintenance and facility management experience.
* Ability to manage budgets, scopes of work, and construction methods.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and computer skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and WHS regulations.
* Valid 'C' or 'CA' class driver's license (vehicle provided for site visits).
