Formed in 1864, the YMCA of Brisbane services over 10,000 members of the community every week and operates programs from over sixty-five sites in South East Queensland.
YMCA Vocational School provides the students ith a wide range of opportunities to support their development via our three core elements - **Academic, Vocational and Wellbeing**.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The School is a "Special Assistance School" and offers courses assisting disengaged students in having a Real Opportunity to achieve their full potential through positive educational studies, activities and outcomes.
We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced **Youth Worker on a casual basis** to deliver student support, well-being programs and lead pastoral care for our students during school hours.
You will work in a multidisciplinary team, including other Youth Workers, a Senior Youth Worker, Teachers, Counsellors and Case Workers, to achieve the best outcomes for our students.
This is a casual position and we are looking for passionate individuals who can work at our **Mango Hill, Kingston, Acacia Ridge, Ipswich, Victoria Point, North Lakes and Bundamba Campus**.
**THE PERSON**
The ideal applicant will be looking for a challenge, have a passion for working with young people, a strong interest in the development of the holistic person, a personal interest in health, spirituality, personal well-being and value ongoing professional development.
More specifically you will be able to meet the following key selection criteria:
- Hold a Certificate IV or above in Youth Work or other relevant tertiary qualification;
- Demonstrated relevant recent practical experience in providing program delivery, education support services and case management to marginalised young people;
- Work successfully in a small team and within the school's philosophy and ethos;
- Demonstrated recent experience in providing colleagues with mentoring and support in youth work practice;
- Be able to demonstrate the importance of following procedures and ensuring a safe educational environment at all times;
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
- Hold or be willing to obtain a current Blue Card.
