About the role
The General Practitioner - Child Health (GP-CH) provides culturally safe GP services with a particular focus on the health of children who are clients of Congress.
The General Practitioner will provide primary health care as a member of a multidisciplinary team at a dedicated child health assessment clinic for healthy children.
The General Practitioner will at least do 5 sessions per week and will be able to work in the general clinic.
The position works to the principles, values and philosophy of Congress as an Aboriginal community-controlled health service.
What we're looking for
We're looking for GPs who can build strong, trusting relationships with both child patients and the community.
If you have:
Current AHPRA registration.
RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship or significant experience in General Practice
Relevant Child Health experience
Commitment to integrating Aboriginal values in practice.
Willingness for, and understanding of, remote area work; and
If you have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and bring exceptional clinical skills, a proactive adaptable attitude, and a genuine respect for diverse patient backgrounds, we want you
