Join us at the ground level of an exciting site start‐up in Merrifield, located in Mickleham. This role supports the fit‐out, installation and commissioning phase, working with the project team to achieve operational readiness this year, before transitioning into a long‐term maintenance role from 2027.
What you'll do
* Coordinate/perform daily maintenance activities across the site
* Lead troubleshooting and repair of equipment breakdowns
* Schedule preventative maintenance programs
* Support installation, commissioning and modification of plant and equipment
* Monitor and report on maintenance performance and KPIs
* Ensure compliance with WHS, Environmental and Quality obligations
* Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance team members
* Liaise with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise equipment reliability
* Compile and distribute daily maintenance and changeover reports
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and quality in accordance with GMP, HACCP, SFQ and WHS standards
* Drive engagement and continuous improvement through effective leadership and problem solving
* Identify, record and communicate any issues or nonconformities relating to product, plant, process or personnel to relevant stakeholders
* Provide coverage for other roles as requested
What you'll bring
* Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment (FMCG experience preferred)
* Previous experience with at least 1‐2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
* Trade qualified (Electrical)
* PLC experience
* Proven leadership and team management experience
* Strong understanding of maintenance systems and reliability practices
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
* Computer literacy including CMMS and reporting tools
* Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
* High attention to detail and housekeeping standards
* Ability to build positive working relationships across departments
* Knowledge of Food Safety is preferred but not essential
