We are currently seeking experienced Quarry Manager from a civil and earthworks background to join our company to assist on an earthworks/civil project in the Kalgoorlie region of Western Australia. This is a 2 & 1 FIFO role where you will play a key role in the success of our project by conducting technical earthworks, long-term planning, resourcing, workforce budgets, and liaising with the workforce and senior representatives of the company and our client.
Main duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Enjoy taking on an established earthworks operation and have full autonomy,
* Lead & supervise plant operations with full accountability for safety, production, and compliance,
* Set strategic direction and drive continuous improvement initiatives,
* Lead, mentor, and develop the operational teams,
* Take on a challenging and diverse role where you'll test your skills and experience,
* Run the operation as your own, with the support and guidance from the Project Manager,
* Enjoy taking the earthworks project to the next level,
* Manage information and conduct appropriate monitoring and reporting duties.
Position requirements:
* Preferably a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar site-based role,
* Tertiary Qualifications in in Engineering, Project or Construction Management or similar field,
* Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications,
* Detailed understanding of construction methods and roles within a project team,
* Excellent written and verbal communication and a genuine concern for health, safety and the environment,
* Developed analytical and problem-solving skills while adhering to deadlines,
* Competent in the use of planning software such as MS Project and Pronto.
