Position: Design Manager
Location: Sydney or Melbourne
Salary: $220+ super + benefits
We're partnering with a leading developer & EPC delivering large-scale transmission, substation, and renewable energy projects across the region.
Appointing a Design Manager to lead design delivery on high-profile major projects, including solar, BESS, substation, transmission and hybrid energy developments.
What You'll Do
1. Lead and manage design delivery for major HV and substation projects across APAC.
2. Oversee multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
3. Ensure design packages meet technical, commercial, and client expectations.
4. Drive client engagement and act as the technical point of contact.
5. Mentor and develop junior engineers and foster a high-performing design culture.
6. Support tender design and ECI activities for large-scale renewable and T&D projects.
What we're looking for
7. Strong track record as a Design Manager or Lead Electrical Engineer on major substation and transmission projects.
8. Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, BESS, hybrid) highly desirable.
9. Skilled in earthing systems, HV and LV design, secondary systems, and HV cables.
10. Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and client relationships.
11. Excellent technical review, design oversight, and project delivery experience.
