About the Position:
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Senior Management Accountant with 7+ years of experience to join an expanding and dynamic team in our Milton office.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on acquisitions, ideally coming from an auditing background.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and internal/external reports.
Analyse financial performance, trends, and key indicators to provide insights to management.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monitoring of actuals vs targets.
Conduct cost analysis to identify efficiency opportunities and cost-reduction initiatives.
Develop financial models, projections, and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
Evaluate risks, opportunities, investment proposals, and business cases.
Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data and support business initiatives.
Maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance, and support internal/external audits.
Assist in strengthening financial controls and drive process improvements.
Interpret and apply accounting standards to financial statements.
Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) required.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Previous experience with acquisitions.
Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Expert knowledge of financial analysis and reporting.
Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Expert knowledge of interpretation and application of accounting standards to financial statements.
Attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
