About the OPPORTUNITY We have a new opportunity for a Maintenance Support Officer to join the Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Program based in Osborne, SA. The DCE program will provide a number of capability upgrades to the existing Hobart Class - Guided Missile Destroyers (DDGs). You will be responsible for coordinating a high volume of work packs. The work packs contain documents that detail maintenance tasks, these tasks need to be captured, distributed, tracked and conducted within BAE and Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) management guidelines. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and flexibility with start and finish times. Key responsibilities include: * Support the generation of the DCE DDG maintenance strategies and plans, including ensuring all maintenance documents are in line with the program and business plans and framework * Assist with the scope of the DCE DDG Test & Commissioning Maintenance Program, and the integration of this scope into the Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program. * Support the maintenance schedules and budgets, including the associated risk profiles within the maintenance deferrals and ensure the program is sound. * Track day to day scope assuring maintenance schedules are met. * Liaise with external contractors and internal stakeholders to schedule, plan and coordinate activities alongside other work. * Ensure all job cards are vetted and ready for Test & Commissioning execution, OQE is captured, consolidated and checked for submission. * Source additional maintenance tooling as it is identified. * Ensure that the maintenance tooling and processes are fit for purpose, robust and make adjustments as required. * Ensure that the DCE DDG tasks are safely conducted using processes and procedures that are compliant with WHS legislation and the BAE Systems SHEQ policies. * Liaise with Test and Commissioning Leads to ensure maintenance tasks are being conducted on schedule and returned with all necessary OQE. About YOU * Demonstrated experience utilising maintenance management or MRP/ERP management systems with a background in a technical/maintenance environment. Ideally you will have a mechanical background to complement the team skills. * Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications highly desirable. * Current and active White Card is highly desirable. * Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate individuals and teams and foster a ‘One Team' approach. * Proven ability to problem solve to deliver objectives. This includes managing interfaces and interdependencies; and developing and executing plans in a timely way. * A focus on always improving, with the ability to identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities. * Current Baseline or NV1 clearance highly desirable. * Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.
