The Role
Teachers Health is on a mission to empower our people and build a high-performing, engaged workforce. As we evolve our culture, leadership and organisational capability, we’re looking for a Head of Organisational Development to join our People Culture and Capability team.
You’ll lead the strategy and delivery of all aspects of organisational development, including leadership development, succession planning, talent and performance management, employee engagement, change management and all aspects of learning Partnering closely with the Senior Leadership Team and across the business, you’ll ensure our people have the skills, tools, and culture to thrive, now and into the future.
Success in this role requires a strategic, consultative leader with deep expertise in OD, change management, and leadership development. You’ll combine a people-first approach with commercial acumen with an eye to the future in delivering initiatives that embed capability and engagement across the organisation.

Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 70 years ago and is the only health fund dedicated to the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members, covering the lives of over 500,000 teachers, education staff, and their families.
What You’ll Do
Develop and implement a comprehensive organisational development strategy aligned with our business goals and HEART valuesLead the design and delivery of leadership development programs, workshops, and frameworks for managers and leaders across the businessOversee talent management, succession planning, and performance management frameworks to build capability and career growth opportunitiesDrive culture and engagement initiatives, to improve the employee experienceEmbed the Change Management strategies and processes across key organisational initiativesLead a team of OD specialists, Trainers, and Change Management to create a high-performing Centre of ExcellenceCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure learning and development initiatives are fit-for-purpose, evidence-based, and deliver measurable impactEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice in organisational development
What you’ll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Organisational Development, or related fieldProven experience in building and delivering leadership capability, enhancing talent and performance strategies, building an organisational development strategy and programs and embedding cultural initiatives in medium to large-scale and preferably purpose driven organisationsStrong leadership experience managing your own large team, demonstrated and (preferably) certified coaching skills,Expertise in embedding frameworks around learning and development, leadership and change management methodologiesExceptional stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skillsAnalytical skills to interpret data and measure the impact of OD initiativesStrategic thinking, problem-solving, and execution focus
Bonus points for:
Experience in health insurance, membership-based, or not-for-profit organisationsCertifications or sound knowledge in behavioural assessments and coaching
