The Role
* Coordinate and/or undertake investigations of fatalities, traumatic accidents, and serious accidents.
* Provide advice and information in accordance with Directorate procedures to management, government investigators and families of seriously injured or deceased persons.
* Undertake complex and sensitive investigations and high level enforcement activity in line with Directorate programs and policies and the Directorate's Operational Plan.
* Inspect electrical installations including regional/remote locations.
* Prepare documentation required to enforce electrical, technical and safety legislation, prepare investigation and prosecution reports and present evidence in courts, to disciplinary bodies, and to the Electrical Licensing Board.
* Undertake major audits of network operators' consumer installation inspection systems, network operators' supply systems and work practices.
Qualifications & Licenses
* Unrestricted electrical worker's licence endorsed \"Electrician\".
* Certificate IV in Government Investigations or an ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of investigation practices.
