Associate or Senior Associate, Workplace and Safety – Brisbane

We're Asia Pacific's leading insurance and risk legal business, and due to growth, we're expanding our Financial Lines team. As an Associate/ Senior Associate in our Brisbane Workplace and Safety team, you'll work across the full range of workplace matters, advising and representing insurers, employers and organisations on high‐stakes, fast‐moving issues. Our national practice has expertise across all jurisdictions, with a strong focus on employment advice and representation in litigated claims. You'll be part of a team that is known for adapting to the ever‐changing landscape of employment relations and delivering practical solutions to complex problems, including through regular workplace training for clients. Our Brisbane team works closely with insurers and employers across public and private sectors, including small to large multinational organisations.
What You'll Do
* Work health and safety incident response, investigations and defending prosecutions across State and Territory jurisdictions
* Employment disputes including unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying claims
* Industrial relations and enterprise bargaining
* Contractual disputes and strategic employment advisory work
* Disciplinary investigations, performance management, restructuring and other sensitive employment processes
What We're Looking For
* An Associate or Senior Associate with strong experience in workplace relations, employment litigation and/or work health and safety matters
* Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
* A collaborative approach and a commitment to excellence
* Confidence to take ownership of matters and drive them forward
* A desire to grow your career in a leading insurance and risk practice
