This diverse permanent full time role will involve a balance of office-based tasks and hands-on kitchen duties working accross 5 days a week Monday to Friday.

Your Impact:
As Kitchen Team Lead, you'll lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality meals tailored to the needs of our residents. You'll balance hands-on kitchen work with strategic oversight, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every dish served.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service
* Plan and execute seasonal, dietician-approved menus (including IDDSI texture-modified diets) that meet residents' tastes, preferences, and dietary needs
* Manage food safety compliance (HACCP), audits, and accreditation standards
* Oversee inventory, ordering, rostering, and budget control
* Collaborate with clinical teams, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
* Hands on role both in kitchen and office
* Drive continuous improvement in kitchen operations and staff development
About You:
You will possess relevant qualifications and demonstrated skills in hospitality management, within an aged care setting. The successful candidate will have:
* Possession of a Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (SIT40521) or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (SIT40516), or an equivalent
* qualification.
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role within
Aged Care
leading a large diverse team
* Ability to lead a successful team and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility of the team's overall performance
* Demonstrated decision making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
* High standard of food preparation and productivity
* Strong understanding of aged care catering standards
* Experience in budget management and cost control
* Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
* Compassionate, resident-focused approach
* Ability to work both in the kitchen and office environments
