Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing hands-on maintenance expertise and support in-house and to a range of customers across mechanical engineering systems.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly experienced team, providing technical support and maintaining mechanical components and systems using a range of hand tools, machines, and technical drawings. You will advise, train and undertake machining, fitting, assembling, manufacturing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on maintenance expertise and support in-house and to a range of customers
- Advise and train on machinery operation and maintenance
- Undertake machining, fitting, assembling, manufacturing, and maintaining mechanical components and systems
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
Requirements:
- Relevant Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in mechanical maintenance
- Post-qualification experience on conventional manual lathes and milling machines
- Ability to interpret technical specifications accurately and provide diagnosis and resolution of mechanical issues affecting the operation of engineering production equipment
- Strong problem-solving attitude, with a focus on finding positive solutions
- Excellent numeracy skills and ability to work with measuring tools
