**About ELMHS**
Early in Life Mental Health Services (ELMHS) provides assessment and treatment for infants, children, adolescents, young people and their families. We work with the 0-18 age group in the Southern Region. We provide a comprehensive assessment service and a range of treatment options including inpatient treatment in times of crisis, community (outpatient) treatment, group programs, family therapy, and specialist services. We work with families in addressing a number of complex issues that families may be experiencing including school refusal, parent/child relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, trauma related issues, self-harm, suicidal thinking, eating disorders, neuro developmental presentations and psychosis.
**Core Community Treatment Team**:
- An exciting opportunity to join a thriving, engaged team of clinicians providing clinic based mental health assessment, formulation and treatment to complex and acute young people in the South East. Exposure to a multidisciplinary team led by consultant psychiatrists, the Core Community Treatment Team provides medium term treatment for children, adolescents and their families in the City of Casey, City of Greater Dandenong, Shire of Cardinia and the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula area. We work collaboratively with families, schools and other agencies to create identified areas for change and work strongly from a relational and systemic framework.
**About the Role**
This role is that of a Senior Mental Health clinician trained in Eating Disorders therapies with training, qualifications and experience in assessing and treating young people with eating disorders and comorbidities mental health problems. This clinician will be skilled in Family Based Therapy (FBT) and other eating disorder treatment modalities.
The role will comprise of the following:
- Clinical face to face work. This will include carrying a limited case load, supporting and mentoring other ELMHS clinicians (chiefly CORE clinicians) who are working with families.
- Secondary consultations within ELMHS, providing supervision, running peer supervision groups to ELMHS staff and providing staff training, working with other parts of the service as required (around eating disorders cases).
