Systems Safety/Certification Engineer x 3 - Aerospace
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Safety/Certification Engineer to join our team at the City of Preston, United Kingdom.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in aerospace safety engineering to work on the delivery of Design Safety Certification and In-Service Safety support for various clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluation of Aircraft and Support, and Aircraft System / Sub-system, design safety in support of Platform and Support safety certification throughout ELC Phases 1 to 6.
* Generating, updating, and reviewing Aircraft, System, and Sub-System Safety Assessment Reports for certification or providing inputs to partner companies.
* Generating, updating, and reviewing Aircraft Zonal Hazard Analysis Reports (ZHAs) for certification or providing inputs to partner companies.
* Generating Support Integration Safety Assessments / Justifications.
* Maintaining and updating the Platform and Support hazard logs.
* Reviewing certification evidence and generating safety certification arguments / justifications to ensure safety throughout ELC Phases 1 to 6.
* Ensuring safety engineering evidence supports acceptable Safety Certification of the Weapon Platform / Support Solution product design.
* Supporting the production of safety-related documentation with engineering teams across various phases.
* Providing expert advice/support to Design and Systems Engineering teams on safety analyses and risk control measures.
* Preparing safety certification materials for reviews with project stakeholders.
* Undertaking weapon system risk assessments across ELC phases 6 to 8.
Requirements:
* Extensive knowledge and experience in Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering, Systems or Mechanical engineering, and Safety Engineering in a Military Airborne Platform design environment.
* Ability to lead and influence on the technical aspects and acceptability of Product Safety throughout its lifecycle.
