Role Overview
This position plays a key role in supporting the building sector by contributing to claims approval and rectification delivery teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving technical building matters that arise during the assessment and delivery of rectification works.
">Main Responsibilities:
* Assist in achieving claims handling performance targets set by the Insurance Committee.
* Provide high-level technical advice on technical reports relating to claims under the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme.
* Review and approve scopes of work and variations for claims under the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Currently hold a builders' licence from QBCC in Queensland (mandatory).
* Possess a current driver's licence and have a good driving record (mandatory).
* Achieves results by providing high-level guidance on the application of legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and communicate with the team to deliver consistency in approach to claims processes.
* Apply contemporary building standards, practices, legislation, and codes within the construction industry.
* High-level interpersonal, consultative, negotiation, and mediation skills as well as investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Attributes:
* Previous claim experience in the building and construction and insurance industries would be highly regarded.
