Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a PMO Coordinator to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based at our Yarraville VIC site. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you'll play a key role in coordinating business and capital projects, helping uplift project management capability and governance across Sugar Australia.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining the project portfolio, ensuring alignment to our Balanced Business Plan and strategic priorities Supporting project planning and governance processes, including Stage Gate, Front-End Loading (FEL), project charters, and risk documentation Coordinating and facilitating key governance meetings such as Steering Groups and Gate Reviews Partnering with our Finance team to track project budgets, analyse financial data, and report on risks, benefits, and outcomes Supporting the development and rollout of project management frameworks, tools and practices across the business Identifying and addressing project delivery risks, helping to get projects back on track when needed Building project management capability by coaching and guiding stakeholders in best practices Contributing to communication and change management activities to support successful project implementation
What we're wanting you to bring to the table:
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong stakeholder engagement skills, great attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. You enjoy building structure, influencing outcomes, and helping teams deliver projects smoothly from idea to implementation.
Minimum 5 years' experience in project coordination or PMO roles, ideally in manufacturing or related industries Skilled in structured project methodologies (e.g. Stage-Gate), risk management and reporting Project Management certification advantageous Highly organised, collaborative, and able to influence across multiple stakeholder groups Demonstrated experience supporting change management and communications initiatives Proficient in project tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet and Excel Financial literacy including cost management, benefits tracking and budget reporting Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation
