To deliver safe, dependable, and efficient passenger transport services across Cairns and surrounding suburbs, in full compliance with local road laws and taxi industry standards. The role focuses on ensuring timely arrivals while upholding excellent customer service, strict operational compliance, and a high level of professionalism.
Benefits
Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000 per Annum + Superannuation
Task & responsibilities
* Operate a taxi to safely transport passengers to their destinations
* Provide assistance to passengers with luggage and entering or exiting the vehicle when needed
* Manage metered fares and process a range of payment methods
* Ensure the vehicle remains clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy
* Communicate clearly with dispatch and utilise GPS/navigation tools effectively
* Comply with all Queensland road laws and relevant taxi industry regulations
Qualification & experience
* Have a minimum of 2–3 years of full-time experience as a taxi or professional passenger driver
* Have a relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III in a related field (preferred)
* Hold a current Open Queensland Driver Licence
* Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Queensland Driver Authorisation (DA) for taxi services
* Have strong communication skills, sound knowledge of Cairns and surrounding suburbs, and a strong commitment to ensuring passenger safety and wellbeing
