OverviewJob Category: Banking and Financial ServicesWe currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a Fraud Analyst - Customer Protection (Grade 1) to join our Financial Intelligence Department.
This role will be based in our Mascot Head Office and will report to the Assistant Manager Fraud.This position supports protection of the bank and its customers from the inconvenience and financial loss of fraud and scam related risks relevant to card, internet banking, scams, identity takeover, lending fraud and other payment channels.
Assistance to other areas of Financial Intelligence will be required at times including AML / CTF investigations and reporting.What you will be doingMonitor fraud detection alerts and reports to detect fraud, prevent fraudulent attempts and recover fraudulently obtained fundsInvestigate and complete simple fraudulent cases including recovery of funds in line with relevant industry, scheme and/or code guidelines (such as ePayments code)Maintain updates and communicate in a timely manner, both verbally and in writing, with customers in relation to case statusCollaborate liaise with third party suppliers supporting the bank's detection and prevention activityLiaise with law enforcement officer including police, and other financial institutionsEducate customers that have been victims of fraud or scam eventsActively contribute to team activities including relevant training and continuous improvement.What you will bringExperience in and passion for fraud and investigationBanking sector exposure and experience, or relevant financial servicesExcellent communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)Customer orientation and focus on outstanding serviceA positive, collaborative and team player attitudeInvestigative, analytical and problem-solving aptitudeProven ability to be adaptable and prioritise work to meet deadlinesRelevant tertiary or diploma qualification preferredCommitment to Bank Australia's purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos.By submitting an application you agree to Bank Australia's Privacy Policy for applicants and confirm that you are legally able to work in Australia.
