The Team
You'll join our Marketing Automation practice, working closely with the Head of Marketing Automation, Salesforce Architects, Data & Integration specialists, Project Managers, and Cloudwerx Labs.
This team shapes next-generation customer experience solutions, enabling real-time engagement, intelligent personalisation, and unified customer data strategies.
As a Senior Marketing Automation Solution Architect, you will be the technical authority guiding the design and delivery of sophisticated, multi-cloud marketing programs.
The Role
We're hiring a Senior Marketing Automation Solution Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of complex Salesforce Marketing Cloud programs - spanning Marketing Cloud Engagement, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), Marketing Cloud Next (Advanced Edition), and cross-cloud integrations.
This role blends deep technical architecture, hands-on solution design, client advisory, and technical leadership. You will define future-ready architectures, guide implementation teams, and ensure solutions meet enterprise standards across data, security, governance, and extensibility.
Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Customer 360/Data 360) is a strong advantage, as we increasingly architect unified data foundations and identity-driven engagement.
What you'll do
Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership
* Lead end-to-end architecture for Marketing Cloud programs across Engagement, Account Engagement (Pardot), and Marketing Cloud Next
* Act as Technical Lead across implementation teams, driving architecture decisions, sequencing, and quality assurance
* Facilitate discovery and architecture workshops with senior stakeholders
* Produce solution designs, technical specifications, integration approaches, and enterprise data models
* Define data strategy between Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Core Clouds, and Data Cloud (Customer 360/Data 360), including identity resolution and unified profile design
* Establish architecture governance, security standards, DevOps patterns, and deployment frameworks
* Design cross-cloud architectures across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and external platforms
Marketing Cloud Solution Design
* Architect multi-channel campaign and journey strategies across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, and Content Builder
* Design account engagement programs in Pardot and modern orchestration through Marketing Cloud Next
* Review and guide technical execution of AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, APIs, CloudPages, and custom automations
* Ensure best-practice personalisation, segmentation logic, data quality, and governance
* Provide technical oversight for campaign execution, QA, compliance, and performance optimisation
Integrations & Data Architecture
* Architect integrations using APIs, middleware, native connectors, and cross-cloud data flows
* Design scalable Contact Builder data models for single- and multi-business unit environments
* Ensure alignment to Marketing Data Models and extensible schema design
* Lead integration testing, data validation, and defect triage
Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement
* Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence
* Advise clients on marketing maturity, personalisation strategies, automation roadmaps, and data-driven growth
* Deliver enablement sessions for technical teams, marketers, and operational stakeholders
What we're looking for
* 5+ years' experience in Marketing Automation or MarTech, including 3+ years hands-on with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement
* Proven experience as a solution architect or technical lead across multi-cloud Salesforce implementations
* Deep expertise across Marketing Cloud Engagement: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Mobile Studio, and Contact Builder
* Strong capability in designing advanced segmentation, personalisation, and multi-channel marketing architectures
* Advanced proficiency in AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, APIs, JavaScript, and Marketing Cloud development patterns
* Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Sales & Service Cloud, including limitations and best practices
* Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Highly organised, self-sufficient, and able to lead cross-functional delivery teams
* Experience gathering requirements and presenting architectural recommendations to senior stakeholders
Nice to have
* Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Customer 360/Data 360), identity resolution, data models, and activation use cases
* Experience with Personalisation (Interaction Studio) or Personalisation on Core
* Familiarity with CDP, AI-driven personalisation, predictive modelling, and data-driven growth strategies
