About the Role
We leverage our extensive experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, public reporting, control processes, tax and compliance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, efficient capital allocation, and sound financial planning. This is a 12‐month fixed‐term maternity cover contract. The Senior Financial Accountant will assist the Accounting Team with a range of accounting responsibilities, including financial accounting, reporting and compliance functions. The role reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting.
What You'll Do
* Assist with month‐end close, ensuring financial statements are accurately stated, deadlines are met, and efficiencies are in place.
* Review and approve month‐end journal entries, trial balances and month‐end balance sheet reconciliations in FTI's global reconciliation tool, Blackline.
* Monitor intercompany accounting transactions and the related reconciliations across entities.
* Perform month‐end revenue recognition review in accordance with US GAAP.
* Co‐ordinate and provide information to external auditors for statutory audits of the Australian Consolidated Group.
* Co‐ordinate and provide information to internal auditors for internal and SOX audits of the Australian legal entities and segments.
* Ensure full compliance with the firm's finance policies, procedures, controls and reporting mechanisms, and that all SOX requirements are met.
Qualifications & Experience
* CA/CPA qualified accountant with 5+ years of accounting experience.
* Professional services industry experience and 'Big4' firm experience preferred.
* Good working knowledge of a large ERP system.
* Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
* Commitment and self‐motivation.
* Deadline‐driven and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience working in a fast‐paced environment and a multinational organisation.
* Ability to interact and engage with key stakeholders.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $97,500.00 – Maximum Pay: $149,500.00. The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role and is inclusive of Superannuation. Determination of actual salary is based on a combination of relevant factors such as market considerations, business needs, location, skills, level of experience and qualifications.
