About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Network & Systems Administrator, reporting to the Systems Manager, to support, secure and optimise our network and systems environment across multiple sites. This hands-on role combines day-to-day operational support with infrastructure improvements, security management and project delivery, working across Fortinet, Microsoft and cloud technologies.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN and associated security services
* Monitor, maintain and optimise LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routing and Wi-Fi
* Administer Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy) and Microsoft 365
* Troubleshoot L2–L3 network and system issues, resolving performance and connectivity problems
* Maintain documentation, system patching, backups and contribute to infrastructure projects

Key requirements:
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or similar; or equivalent industry experience
* Proven experience in a Network, Systems or Infrastructure Administrator role
* Strong experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, VPNs and network security
* Solid background supporting Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365
* Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, security)
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to manage workloads across multiple sites
