We collaborate with schools and parents and citizens' associations (P&C) to run before and after school care on school grounds.The Outside School Hours Care service is supported by YMCA Brisbane, a trusted not-for-profit organisation with more than 155 years of experience supporting families and children in Australia.

The YMCA is the fastest growing OSHC provider in the South East with over 50+ services, which in turn provides our staff with the ability to grow and move through the company as their careers head to the next level.
We are currently recruiting for a **Coordinator** on a **full time basis, 38 hours per week** to join our team at **YMCA Darling Heights Outside School Hours Care (OSHC).**
In this position, you will be the leader of the service responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the other Coordinators, Senior Coordinator Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.
**Your workspace at the YYMCA Darling Heights Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)** is located at Darling Heights State School and offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings.
This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.Programs and activities are aligned with the YMCA Mission - to provide opportunities for children to grow in body, mind and spirit - underpinned by our values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility. we blend this philosophy with the National Quality Framework 'My Time Our Place' and Darling Heights State School's educational principles to develop appropriate, engaging and most of all FUN activities for your child whilst in our care.
YMCA Darling Heights OSHC operates from 6.30am to 8.30am and 2.30pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.YMCA Darling Heights OSHC also offers onsite Vacation Care (Holiday Club) to the Darling Heights community. Holiday Club operates from 6.30am to 6.00pm during school holidays and student free days.
**As an OSHC Coordinator you will assist with**:
- The development of quality programs;
- Manage the day to day running of the programs;
- Coordinate staffing and rostering of staff;
- Ensure compliance with policy;
- Undertake administrative requirements;
- Work collaboratively with families and the school community.
**SELECTION CRITERIA**:
- Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
- Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
- Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
- NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
