About us
Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect clients to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of clients on court orders, clients with serious sex offences on post sentence supervision and prisoners on parole.
Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) understands that to reduce the overrepresentation of Aboriginal people in the justice system and to achieve a reduction in the rate of reoffending, unique strategies and initiatives must be implemented.
Through its long‑standing commitment to the Aboriginal Justice Agreement, the Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Plan, the Koori Inclusion Action Plan and in partnership with the Victorian Aboriginal community, CJS has developed this unique Aboriginal Practice Adviser role.
About the role
