Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Project Engineering Surveyor role based outside of Rockhampton, QLD, on a remining project of Mount Morgan. The project is mid stage, with a vacancy for surveyor with experience or an interest in the civil and Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) phases of a construction project.
The Project Engineering Surveyor will be responsible for general engineering survey work, such as set out, verticality's, processing survey data, and preparing detailed reports.
Day-to-day tasks include calculation of engineering design for setout with Leica instruments, 12D experience highly regarded. There are UAV (photogrammetric) surveys conducted weekly, so RePL is also highly regarded, but not necessary.
In addition, this role is a 2 week on, 1 week off roster as an alternate to the supportive Senior Surveyor, including relief for his one week R&R, with plenty of overlap for handover. The role involves close collaboration with project managers and engineers to meet project requirements and timelines, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Flights, paid travel days and accommodation provided.
This role is most suitable to a surveyor with an engineering survey interest and some experience, who wishes to gain further skills on a destination site that offers lots of variance and cohesiveness with both client and contractor. We expect this role will develop over time in readiness for further opportunities on major project works on the Eastern seaboard available as your skillset broadens.

A strong interest and some proficiency in civil construction surveying
Experience with using Leica survey instruments
Strong analytical skills for processing survey data and preparing accurate reports
