What you'll be doing
The Research Manager will have a pivotal role in the execution and operation of the Rural, Regional and Remote Clinical Trial Enabling Program (R3-CTEP) with support from the Western Cluster Clinical Trial Support Unit (CTSU). The role will support the goals of improving equity and access to clinical trials and professionalising the workforce in Far West LHD as part of the Western Cluster partner in the program. The role will also be supporting the governance structures of Far West LHD to ensure the National Clinical Trial Governance Framework is embedded in the LHD.

How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:
* Tertiary qualifications in science, medical science, health science, pharmacy, nursing, or a related field and/or demonstrated relevant equivalent professional experience in a clinical research environment.
* Demonstrated management skills and experience to effectively drive clinical research with a strong understanding of ethical/regulatory frameworks.
* Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical methods, with demonstrated ability to conduct/support a variety of performance measurement processes/research methodologies and capacity to accurately analyse the implications of the information within a health organisation.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in high level report writing.
* Understanding of the challenges facing the conduct of research activities including clinical trials within rural, regional and remote areas.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, analyse problems, formulate clear and effective solutions and coordinate several tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive and travel for work purposes, including occasional overnight stays.
