The RoleMake a difference in our community
Maintenance & Operations is responsible for delivering a suite of operational services including road, footpath & drainage works, street cleansing, graffiti removal, and public litter collection, alongside our contracted Parks and garden maintenance, sports field maintenance, tree care, and concrete reinstatement works, among others.
Reporting to the Head of Operations – Maintenance & Operations, the Unit Manager – Civil Works will work alongside Unit Mnager – City Amenity, Supervisors and other teams, and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and delivery of civil maintenance and renewal services across the municipality. This includes services such as line marking, asset and infrastructure inspection and maintenance, including roads and footpaths, signage, street furniture, multipurpose, and associated works within the Maintenance and Operations team.
About youA proven leader in operations management, the ideal candidate will have a blend of industry experience and expertise, strong change and relationship management skills, a hands-on approach, alongside a desire and drive for continuous improvement. You'll have the ability to build trust with your teams and co-workers, the ability to coordinate and deliver civil maintenance and renewal services related to Civil Works, and the ability to influence the behaviour of those around you in a dynamic, growth-orientated environment.
