Primary objective
Coordinate and provide ICT administration, technical advice and expertise in the delivery of all ICT support systems and processes within Digital
Project Services. The role is to deliver high quality services with adherence to relevant ICT project management frameworks and guides to support
the delivery of major business transformation programs.
Context statement
Digital Project Services (DPS) delivers very complex, high value, and high-risk ICT programs and multi-year digital transformation initiatives for
core frontline services through an inter-agency collaborative approach. Working closely with the client Agencies, the team comprises of public
sector employees and contractors working together to deliver multiple streams of activity as programs are implemented. The work environment
is dynamic, fast paced and results driven with high expectations of superior service delivery.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Provide advice and guidance, including induction, to all DPS resources in the operation of ICT support systems, tools and processes, to ensure
adherence to DPS operational frameworks.
2. Investigate and analyse support system changes and work closely with central DPS resources and/or vendors for deployment or release taking
into consideration risk and change.
3. Develop system administration operational procedures and policies, training material for users, together with the provision of training as and
when required.
4. Manage security and access requirements for ICT support systems including SharePoint, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, TRM and the network
drive.
5. Organise procurement and maintain the license register of specialist ICT software and tools.
6. Follow defined service quality standards, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken
in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Proven experience and solid understanding of system administration and software configuration, preferably with Atlassian Jira and Confluence,
Microsoft SharePoint and specialist user software.
2. Knowledge and understanding of project management and human-centered design methodologies and frameworks.
3. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise initiative, effectively manage rapidly changing and competing
priorities and provide effective solutions.
4. High level interpersonal / communication skills with the ability to consult, collaborate and negotiate effectively with a broad range of
stakeholders of all levels and from diverse cultural backgrounds, in a complex digital delivery environment.
5. High level written skills with ability to prepare and maintain documentation with attention to detail.
6. High levels of integrity with proven experience working in an environment dealing with commercially sensitive and confidential information.
7. Proven ability to manage a team, train users and work collaboratively and effectively as a team member.
8. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice, accountability,
impartiality, diversity and respect.
Desirable
1. Degree in ICT or business or related discipline; Certificate IV in Project Management; Prince2.
