Overview of the position
The Events & Venue Operations Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of operational aspects of commercial venue hire and internal events across MCA's departments.
The role requires strong management leadership and experience implementing new business models.
It will be shaped alongside new commercial business needs over a 12-month contract, potentially with extension.
Responsibilities
Manage venue hire operations and ensure compliance with commercial agreements.
Coordinate internal events in collaboration with Corporate Partnerships, Philanthropy, Exhibitions, Engagement and other departments.
Work closely with MCA's Hospitality and Events Partners to deliver events within budget and with high levels of customer service.
Partner with the Head of Commercial Development to maintain relationships with hospitality partners and other stakeholders.
Lead the team through change, embedding new business models and ensuring alignment with MCA's strategic outcomes.
Person Specification
Excellent management experience across events and venue operations.
Proven track record of exceeding expectations of clients and stakeholders.
Strong leadership with ability to guide teams through business change.
Capability to build relationships with hospitality partners, industry bodies and internal teams.
