This role joins a high‐performing payroll team that values accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement. They are now seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team in Logan.
Job Description
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
* End‐to‐end processing of complex weekly and monthly payrolls
* Interpretation of multiple EBAs and awards
* Support system integrations and workflows
* STP submissions, reconciliations and year‐end processing
* Complex termination and redundancy calculations
* Provide payroll advice to employees and leaders
* Assist with audits, reporting and compliance obligations
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects and SOP development
* Mentor and support team members
The Successful Applicant
The successful Payroll Officer should have:
* A proven track record within a similar role
* Strong knowledge of payroll systems and related software
* Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including taxation and superannuation
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
* Effective communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and employees
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
