About the role:
Reporting to the Team Manager, some of your duties for the role will include:
* Provide health education, counselling and/or therapeutic/rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual clients or groups
* Undertaking team responsibilities such as leading meetings, attending urgent appointments and/or booked assessments as delegated
* Liaising and collaborating with other agencies, health care professionals and service providers to determine how to best meet the needs of people who have a mental health problem to ensure best outcomes for consumers
* Advocating for and on behalf of consumers and groups
About you:
* Demonstrated competency and proficiency in clinical skills appropriate to the area (individual counselling skills and group work skills including planning and preparing psycho educational. therapy group programs)
* Must be highly motivated and have the ability to engage with young consumers who have extremely high service needs
* Comprehensive assessment skills (including risk) to inform a psychological case conceptualisation and a treatment plan
* Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form, with individuals and groups
This is a single vacancy, with two possible appointment classifications. The successful applicants will be appointed in the position appropriate to their skills, qualifications, and experience.
Please note that this position is multi-classed as either a AHP2 and RNMC2 and classification will be determined by qualifications and experience.
