About The Role

Prince of Wales Private Hospital is seeking a highly passionate, dynamic and engaging Oncology Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Manager (NUM1) on a permanent full-time basis for our Adult Day Oncology Unit.

Responsibilities
- Providing clinical leadership and operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
- Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based
- Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environment
- Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
- Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
- Undertaking direct patient care, as required
- Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Essential Criteria
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Registered Nurse with at least 5 years’ experience in an Acute Oncology or Day Infusion setting
- Demonstrated management or in-charge experience
- Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams with a service excellence approach
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management
- Understand the requirements of private health funding
- Demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication skills including advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care
- High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various databases
- Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
Desirable Criteria
- Hold EVI-Q credentialling for chemotherapy administration
- Tertiary post-graduate qualifications in a relevant Nursing specialty
- Tertiary post-graduate qualifications in management (or working towards)
- A demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety legislation.
- A demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality improvement, change management, models of care, evidence-based practice and practice development.
