The Role:
Working closely with the Surveyor-General, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Manager Survey Operations to join our dedicated Office of the Surveyor-General team to lead the operational and strategic delivery of survey services across South Australia. This role reports directly to the Surveyor-General and will see you responsible for providing leadership to a multidisciplinary team, overseeing performance, driving culture, managing risk, and implementing workforce planning and professional development strategies aligned to the State's surveying objectives.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
* Proven ability to lead and manage technical and professional staff in a complex service delivery environment.
* Strong strategic thinking with experience delivering change and risk management initiatives.
* High-level stakeholder engagement and communication skills, particularly in complex or sensitive contexts.
* Expertise in surveying, including national developments, risk mitigation, and workforce capability planning.
* Demonstrated experience driving cultural initiatives and building safe, inclusive workplaces.
Essential Qualification:
Tertiary qualifications in surveying or a related field.
Licensed Surveyor under the Survey Act 1992 (desirable).
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
ASO8 – $121,107 – $125,679.
