Senior Lawyer Position
We are seeking a highly experienced senior lawyer to join our team. As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our business on major projects.
* Provide legal lead on negotiation and drafting with respect to renewable energy project agreements related to development, construction and/or operations.
* Provide practical and strategic commercial legal support to projects in delivery, commissioning and operations across our business based on a sound understanding of our goals and commercial drivers.
* Assist with other significant business contracts and projects being undertaken by the business.
* Provide legal support as required with respect to matters related to the financing of energy projects.
* Advising and presenting to senior management on matters requiring business approval.
* Assist in identifying and managing key legal risks for the group.
* Contribute as a senior member of the legal team, with ability to develop into a team leader; provide motivation, encouragement and opportunities for development.
* Proven experience advising on delivery and operational issues for renewable energy and major infrastructure projects.
* Background in private practice or in-house legal roles within relevant industries.
* Skilled in drafting and negotiating contracts for design, procurement, delivery, and operations of large-scale projects.
* Experience managing claims and disputes in the renewable energy and infrastructure sectors.
* Strong legal expertise in commercial law, with specialist knowledge in energy, projects, and construction.
* Outstanding drafting, verbal communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Highly organised with excellent prioritisation, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
