The Opportunity
Join our team and play a vital role in supporting academic programs in nursing and midwifery through technical services in clinical teaching and simulation facilities! Based primarily at our Moreton Bay campus, you'll ensure seamless operations by applying analytical thinking and problem‐solving skills. This dynamic role requires flexibility and adaptability to deliver high‐quality service, helping to create an outstanding learning experience for students.
Our position is predominantly based at the Moreton Bay campus; however, flexibility is required, as some workdays may be undertaken at the Caboolture campus. Occasional travel to the Sippy Downs campus may also be required for events and team meetings.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical expertise and support to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and facilitate high‐fidelity simulated learning for students across the disciplines of Nursing and Midwifery.
* Instruct in the use of simulation equipment and clinical learning facilities and oversee the operation of the technology to ensure safe and effective use of the equipment.
* Train and, at times, supervise casual team members when required.
About you
You bring strong interpersonal skills and communicate effectively across verbal, written, and active listening contexts. You work confidently both independently and within a team, showing initiative and adapting readily to change and new situations. Proactive and self‐directed, you manage high‐volume workloads with minimal supervision while applying strong analytical and problem‐solving skills to deliver practical, effective outcomes.
Required qualifications
* Completion of a relevant degree with experience in the provision of a broad range of clinical activities in support of teaching in a health‐related discipline. An alternative combination of relevant knowledge, training and experience would be considered; experience as a registered nurse is advantageous.
* A demonstrated commitment to utilising simulation methodology in learning and its ability to transform education.
* Ability to acquire knowledge of policies, guidelines and legislation relevant to clinical spaces and technical services including health and safety requirements, and experience in performing, documenting and implementing outcomes of risk assessments.
