As demand for high-speed, scalable communication networks continues to grow, we are expanding our engineering team and are looking for a skilled Telecommunications Engineer to help us innovate, build, and optimize the systems that keep Australia connected.

Salary: $76,000 - $80,000 + Superannuation
The Opportunity
In this role, you'll lead the planning, development, and optimisation of telecommunications networks and systems. You'll work across a variety of projects, including wireless, fibre, microwave, and VoIP, ensuring robust infrastructure that meets performance, compliance, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, implement, and maintain telecommunications networks and systems, including fibre optic, wireless, and IP-based infrastructure
2. Conduct site surveys, network performance analysis, and feasibility studies for new installations
3. Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and network plans in line with project scope
4. Manage the configuration and testing of routing, switching, and signalling equipment
5. Oversee compliance with ACMA regulations, carrier-grade standards, and safety procedures
6. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver custom network solutions
7. Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, implementing corrective actions where required
8. Provide technical leadership in resolving critical network faults and escalations
9. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security protocols
What We're Looking For
1. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
2. Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a telecommunications engineering or network deployment role
3. Strong technical knowledge of IP networking, VoIP, fibre, RF systems, and wireless technologies
4. Experience with network design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio), and diagnostics tools
5. Familiarity with NBN, 4G/5G, microwave backhaul, and structured cabling standards
6. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
7. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
8. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when needed
