About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our manufacturing and assembly team. This office-based role requires strong administrative skills and the ability to manage production orders, coordinate scheduling, and support the Production Manager in key business operations. While prior experience in a production environment is advantageous, strong organizational and problem-solving skills are essential.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Order Management: Accurately enter and maintain all orders, ensuring accuracy in items, pricing, accounting codes, and realistic due dates.
* Production Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule production activities, balancing workloads to meet deadlines and optimize efficiency.
* Operational Support: Assist the Production Manager in areas such as strategy, resourcing, equipment, and customer excellence.
* Performance Tracking: Help track and analyse key production metrics and scorecard data to ensure operational efficiency.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate effectively with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.
* Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to production and operational processes.
* Process Improvement: Identify and suggest opportunities for efficiency improvements within production planning and operations.
About You

Your Prior Experience
While prior experience in a production environment is advantageous, strong organizational and problem-solving skills are of the most importance.
* Minimum 3 years in a mid-level assistant role or equivalent; or,
* Experience in a production/manufacturing planning role.
