Remuneration Package
Up to $182,461 plus incentives where applicable. Base salary ranges from $101,122 to $160,983, with leave loading and employer superannuation contribution. Rural and remote incentives of $20,000–$30,000 per annum may apply.

About the Role
KickStart participants receive provisional employment as a School Psychologist, professional support and supervision to complete provisional registration, and a comprehensive on‐site training programme. Upon successful completion, participants may apply for ongoing School Psychologist roles within the NSW Department of Education.

* Psychology graduate with a 4‐year degree and currently on a 4+2 or 5+1 registration pathway.

Key Accountabilities
* Provide counselling and psychological services to students individually and in groups, including short‐term therapeutic interventions within training and supervision limits.
* Engage with and implement the Professional Practice Framework of the NSW School Counselling Service.
* Consult with principals, executives, staff, and support services to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes and implement departmental priorities.
* Contribute to social, emotional, and academic development of students, supporting those with complex behavioural needs.
* Administer cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural assessments; report results and collaborate to improve outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with learning and support teams, parents, carers, and agencies to develop appropriate school‐based support.
* Assist in responding to schools experiencing serious incidents.
* Refer students and families to external agencies when required.
Essential Requirements
* Knowledge and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy, Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG Inc, and the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
* Registered or provisionally registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
* Valid Working with Children Check clearance (WWCC, NSW).
* Willingness and ability to travel between work sites; valid unrestricted provisional or full driver's licence required.
