Strategic Financial Leadership Role

Main Responsibilities
* Deliver the Department's strategic financial objectives to ensure high standards of governance and risk management.
* Financial planning and linking financial planning with budget allocation and management.
* Commercial services to develop and implement frameworks and tools to support commercial decision making and ensure financial and contract risk management.
About You
You will lead the Department's strategic financial objectives through the development, implementation and monitoring of business needs and initiatives. You will undertake the role of Chief Finance Officer for the Department as prescribed in the relevant legislation and ensure corporate governance requirements and risk management standards are met.
Requirements
* Establish and maintain effective partnerships, networks and forums with key internal and external stakeholders at a state and national level.
* Provide financial and procurement consultancy services and provide strategic and timely advice to senior executives.
* Knowledge of financial management systems and reporting to enable effective monitoring of the financial systems in schools, ensuring accountability and compliance.
