Primary School Teacher - Maternity Leave Position
Full Time, Maternity Leave Contract, August 2026 – June 2027
Oxley Christian College is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our Junior School (Prep to Year 6) team in a 10–11 month maternity leave position, commencing in early August 2026–18 June 2027. We are looking for an individual who is not only qualified but who also shares our commitment to delivering exceptional education within a Christian environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Australian Curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience for students.
* Integrate Biblical principles and a Christian worldview into the curriculum, fostering spiritual and moral development among students.
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding the values and ethos of Oxley Christian College, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Maintain a well organised and positive classroom environment conducive to learning, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the broader school community to support the holistic development of students.
Requirements
* Bachelor of Education degree in Primary Education or a related field (with teaching qualifications).
* Current teaching certification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
* Experience in teaching primary school students, preferably in an Australian Curriculum based setting.
* Ability to teach from a Biblical perspective and integrate Christian values into teaching practices.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
