Membership & Administration Coordinator (Part-Time – 20 Hours per Week)
Merewether Golf Club – Newcastle NSW
Merewether Golf Club is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Membership & Administration Coordinator. This part-time position (20 hours per week) is a key support role within the club, responsible for assisting with daily administration while helping deliver a high level of service and engagement for our members.
Working closely with management, this role will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the club while playing an important part in membership communication, retention, and engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Club Administration
Daily office administration and operational support
Balancing the safe and reconciling tills
Answering phone calls and responding to email enquiries
Handling membership enquiries and general club enquiries
Administrative support for management and club activities
Assisting with club communications, printing materials, and organising trophies and events
Liaising with caterers and other suppliers as required
Supporting the efficient operation of all club administration functions
Membership Coordination
Processing new memberships and managing membership records
Responding to membership enquiries and assisting prospective members
Managing member communications and engagement initiatives
Following up rejected or overdue membership payments
Monitoring member participation and reporting trends
Assisting with membership campaigns and retention initiatives
About You
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Friendly and professional communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Experience in administration, customer service, or club operations preferred
Interest in sport, hospitality, or the golf industry is advantageous
