The GSS Human Resources Department provides support to the following business areas: Maritime, Energy Systems, Business Assurance, Supply Chain & Product Assurance, Accelerator, and Digital Solutions.
DNV has an exciting opportunity for an HR / Senior HR Advisor supporting the local organization of DNV in Australia with a range of advisory activities, working with management to support the organization and its employees. This role is ideal for an aspiring professional who enjoys working in a dynamic and growing global organization. DNV in Australia has around 160 staff and is on a growth trajectory, both organically and through acquisitions. Main offices are located in North Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. This position reports to the Sydney-based GSS HR Manager and is part of the regional team in Global Shared Services based in Singapore.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Being a business partner and providing consultancy and advisory services to line management and HR Managers on employee relations and management issues, including interpretation of relevant Acts, Regulations, Awards, legislation, internal policies, and procedures.
2. Providing value-adding advisory services, such as training for line management and staff on new regulations.
3. Participating in multi-disciplinary GSS teams and engaging in international or global projects and change processes.
4. Implementing, governing, and improving employee policies, ensuring legislative compliance.
5. Serving as the key contact to coordinate between business areas and visa agents on visa-related queries.
6. Maintaining an effective understanding of DNV strategy and activities, analyzing business needs.
7. Ensuring contractual employment agreements are up to date, accurate, and compliant with company policy and legislation.
8. Supporting and guiding global center teams with local advice as needed.
9. Supporting employee wellbeing and engagement programs.
10. Liaising with authorities on legal employment law issues.
11. Assisting with workers' compensation claims.
12. Supporting M&A activities.
13. Completing annual WGEA reporting and acting as the primary contact for the business regarding this reporting.
14. Supporting the business and Country Chair with HSE activities.

Minimum qualifications include:
* A recognized qualification in HR or related discipline (preferably Bachelor level).
* At least 3-4 years of HR experience in a similar role.
* Eligibility to work in Australia (PR or citizenship).
* Understanding of local legislation and proactive legislative updates.
* Experience advising on employment matters, including performance management and investigations.
* Knowledge of HSE responsibilities and workers' compensation.
* Interest in HR administration and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Fluency in spoken and written English.
