Cultural Heritage Officers play a pivotal role in the CopperString 2032 Project, driving Queensland's energy transformation from the heart of the region.
The successful candidates will contribute to connecting a more sustainable energy future for over five million Queenslanders and 253,000 businesses.
Key qualifications include holding a degree or equivalent qualification in archaeology, anthropology, cultural heritage management or other relevant discipline.
Responsibilities encompass conducting and facilitating cultural heritage assessments, inspections and surveys as agreed under Cultural Heritage Management Plans and Agreements.
Additionally, they will engage with Traditional Owners, Technical Advisors and property holders to ensure adherence to processes under CHMPs & CHMAs during construction, maintenance and refurbishment.
Candidates should have experience collaborating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Owners, their advisors and representatives.
Essential skills include strong interpersonal, report writing and research abilities.
