Due to our exciting growth, we are looking for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Melbourne Team!

Your role is to support individuals to identify goals that are important and meaningful to them, provide evidence-based therapy in the community, and build the capacity of the person and their care team to achieve their goals.
In your hub, you will collaborate with occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, positive behaviour support practitioners, and allied health assistants to support you and the participants in your care.

Responsibilities
The Day-To-Day:
* Maintain a functioning knowledge and understanding of the various funding streams such as NDIS and Home Care Packages.
* Follow a therapy cycle and complete support planning to map out participant goals.
* Provide person-centered support through coaching, problem-solving, and advocating for your participant’s needs.
* Demonstrate active listening and open communication to formal and informal supports in your participant’s life.
* Efficiently and effectively complete functional assessments to guide your therapy.
* Prioritise your learning and development in your week to support in the NDIS and grow your career.
* Maintain your calendar autonomously to suit your participants and your life.
Job Requirement
Requirements:
* Suitable candidates include those who are either deemed Suitable as PBS Practitioners or currently hold Core PBS Practitioner registration
* Degree in Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis or Allied Health (Social Work, Speech Pathology or Occupational Therapy), with professional registration/membership.
* Preferred candidates have minimum of 8 months’ experience working within the NDIS framework
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously.
* Sincere passion for helping a diverse range of clients.
* Ability to establish a genuine rapport with clients.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Current driver’s license.
