About The Opportunity
Opportunity for registered nurse with recent relevant experience in acute care / community nursing to join the Bowral Community Nursing Team in a casual capacity. The Bowral Community Nursing team provides a positive culture workplace with a very supportive cohort of 18 nurses. Support is provided by Clinical Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Consultant (Palliative Care), Clinical Nurse Specialist (Palliative Care). Four weeks full time orientation provided. Ongoing shifts will be allocated on a casual basis to cover service requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney. These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities. With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live. - Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
